Training

Youth Space and the Circuit Youth Work Team are looking into what support and training we can offer to volunteers working with young people across the Cardiff Methodist Circuit.

Training is brought to you on behalf of the Cardiff Methodist Circuit Youth Forum

The latest topics to be covered include;

• 30th January 2010 Programme Planning and working with small groups - training by Amy Adams (Wales Training Network), Dave Jordan, Susan McIvor
• 27th February 2010 Safeguarding (Module A) - training by Synod Safeguarding Group
• 27th March 2010 Basic First Aid - training by British Red Cross
• 24th April 2010 Food Safety Level 2 Certificate - training by DSI
• 22nd May 2010 Young People and Spirituality - training by Angela Simon, Dave Jordan and Rev. Susan McIvor

The aim is to run a series of Saturday sessions (one per month) starting in January 2010. You can book yourself or your volunteers onto one or all of our sessions but BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL as if we do not have enough booked on a session we will cancel and for some sessions places are strictly limited.

To book your place(s) complete and return our Training Season booking form. You can of course book for as many (or as few) sessions as you like. To share this information with others offiline we have produced a Spring Training Booket containing all the information below (as was correct 13/01/2010) but latest information will be sent to all those booked on a course should any details need to change.

Talk to your church and group about support to cover the cost of your place at our training.

Safeguarding (Module A) - training by Synod Safeguarding Group

Basic First Aid - training by British Red Cross
