Directions to the Amelia Trust Farm

Back to Circuit Youth Weekend

So we're off to the Amelia Trust Farm and as with all our Circuit Youth Weekends its up to you to find your own way there.

The Amelia Trust Farm is in a Barry sort of Direction.

The full postal address is Amelia Trust Farm, Five Mile Lane, Barry, CF62 3AS

To get to the farm from Youth Space, Canton

(well if I write this version then you can work out how to do it from where you are yourself or ask google maps)

• Head out of town on Cowbridge Road East,
• At the roundabout go Straight on to Cowbridge Road West
• Head out through Ely to Culverhouse Cross.
• Head for the middle of the three lanes approaching the culverhouse cross roundabout.
• At Culverhouse Cross Roundabout take the 3rd Exit for the A48 to St Nicholas and Cowbridge (NOT the 2nd for Barry)
• Pass Tesco/M&S on your right, and then continue on the A48 through St Nicholas
• As you come out of the village the Golf Club Entrance comes up on the Right
• The turn as the road becomes a dual carriage way take the first LEFT onto the A4266 (Barry & Airport)
• Travel down the lane (watching your speed) to the first incline.
• The turning for the Farm is on the Right Hand Side it has a big sign on wall at the end of the drive but be careful not to go past as the turning is at the crest of a hill and easy to miss if your not looking for it.
• Head down the drive (SLOWLY as there are many walkers paths crossing the drive)
• The parking spaces will appear on the Left Hand side.
• Park up in these spaces and then walk down into the farm yard.
• When you arrive in the farm yard you will see a conservatory (the visitor cafe) to your right,
• walk around this conservatory keeping it on your right hand side and into another smaller courtyard.
• The bunk-house door is directly in front of you (and you should be able to see a Youth Space logo by now!)
